Leslie Prinkki

Hi there! My name is Leslie Prinkki also known by my scrappy name “scrapsofmine”. I’ve been scrapbooking for 17 years and crafting for as long as I can remember! I’m happily married to my high school sweetheart, and I’m a mom of three little blessings, 1 girl and 2 boys. I’m also a night owl and that’s when I get a lot of my best scrapbooking done! I love taking pictures and my camera is always in hands reach and never leave home without it! I consider my craft style, simple, clean and whimsical. I love creating with fun bright colors, and clustering groups on my projects. I’m super excited about being apart of Kiwi Lane Designs and look forward to sharing  my creations with you.

Why Do You Scrapbook?
I scrapbook as a way of celebrating my families memories, capturing our present day and past events. I love that I can be the author of my family, telling our stories through our photos, and letting each scrapbook page tell it’s own story. Scrapbooking is more than just a hobby for me, it’s apart of who I am and a part of my family’s story.

Where would your dream scrapbooking location be?
If I could scrapbook anywhere on the planet it would be at the beach in Hawaii! Scrapbooking and Hawaii are two of my favorite things, so why not pair them together! Now that’s my perfect paradise!!!

What might we find you doing when you aren’t being a crafty diva?
When I’m not being a crafty diva, you can find me teaching preschool twice a week, carpooling my kiddos to various activities and singing on our church praise team.  I also love to spend my extra time reading a good book, baking yummy goodies, surfing the web and making YouTube videos.

Hi! I’m Charissa! I’m a stay-at-home mama to my two little girlies, who are 3 years and 6 months. They keep me very busy and provide lots of inspiration and scrappy subject matter. I’m the fantastic (at least I like to think I am) wife to my husband of 4 years. We currently call the Pacific Northwest home. I have a Masters’ Degree in history, with a focus on 20th century American technology (I found/find the atomic bomb and Cold War era fascinating). I’ve been scrapping since 2003, though it was rare during grad school. I started doing it much more after our first daughter was born in 2009. I am so excited to be a part of the Kiwi Lane Design Team and look forward to sharing with everyone!

Why Do You Scrapbook?
I scrapbook to record my family and our history/present. I think its the historian in me. I may have given up academic history, but it is still so important to me to document and remember my life past and present. Sure, I like pretty paper and embellishments, but scrapbooking has always been first about the stories. This is why you will never see a page without a good chunk of journaling from me; that’s the most important part in my book.

Where would your dream scrapbooking location be?
If you could scrapbook anywhere on the planet where would it be and why? Hmmmm, this is a toughie. I’m going to cheat and combine a few things – I like having both art and music around me while I’m creating. So can I sit in the middle of the Greek and Roman art section of the Louvre (my favorite part of the museum) with Trans-Siberian Orchestra playing in the next room?

What might we find you doing when you aren’t being a crafty diva?
When you are not being a crafty diva, what might we find you doing? Playing with my two little girlies and if its the right time of the year, watching football. I pretty much will watch any game that I can find on television.

What is your favorite Kiwi Lane Designer Template set?
Tiny Sweetheart for sure!

Why Do You Scrapbook?
I scrapbook because I love the knowledge that the pages that I am creating will be lasting documentation of “moments” in our lives that may have otherwise been forgotten. While I do scrapbook the big things like birthdays and holidays, my heart is with scrapbooking the day-to-day events. I want to remember my youngest’s love of Milk Duds or the first time my oldest marched in marching band. These are the moments I try to capture for my family and for future generations. Additionally, the accomplishment of finishing a layout or project on a day that may otherwise have felt like I was running in circles never goes unnoticed! It also allows me to work toward my goal of living my life purposefully. Getting caught up in my to-do list is easy. Scrapbooking lets me step back for a moment and remember what it is that is truly important and pay attention to the things that help me to live my life with purpose.

Where would your dream scrapbooking location be?
If I could scrapbook anywhere on the planet I’d have to choose a little villa in Italy with an incredible view. This will happen some day!! I’ve never been to Italy but I am quite certain that I would love it. I can only imagine how inspired I’d be there with the history, the colors, the language…*sigh*. Getting my supplies on a plane to cross an ocean may be a bit of a feat though!

What might we find you doing when you aren’t being a crafty diva?
If I am not getting crafty, I read non-stop and enjoy baking. I took up running within the past two years (have to work off all of that baking somehow!), sewing (a bit), & shopping for good deals, as well as travel are other things you would find me doing. Hanging with my family is my favorite spot to be though!

Kristina MacKeen

I am a California girl that met the man of her dreams on a cruise in 2003. After bouncing around a little with Air Force, we have settled into the St. Louis area, where he is from. I love living here with him and our 2 bundles of energy…also known as our kids. I am fortunate enough to be able to stay home with Kevin (5) and Hailey (2). You will see a lot of these guys in my layouts. They are truly what makes my world go round. I never thought I’d end up at SAHM, but I love every minute of it.

Why Do You Scrapbook?

Sometimes Mama needs a little dose of sanity!  My crafting time has become part of that for me.  I also love the idea that I am making a record of memories – and not just holidays and special occasions, but everyday moments too.

Where would your dream scrapbooking location be?

With friends – it doesn’t matter exactly where. It could be in a basement or in paradise, it wouldn’t matter. Just having friends nearby makes scrapbooking even more fun!

What might we find you doing when you aren’t being a crafty diva?

I love cooking. I am working on the whole baking thing. ;-) I also love cross-stitching. I also enjoy having a glass of wine with friends, too.

Staci Jones

Hello, My name is Staci Jones and I am a scrapbooking addict! I love taking care of my 4 kids all day long, but as soon as they are asleep, I scrap all night! I have been scrapping for the last 8-10 years and love using it as my therapy. I am constantly trying to catch up on scrapping, but I love it! My other hobbies are running, baking, hiking, and reading.

Why Do You Scrapbook?

When I started scrapping, I did it because I love the creative outlet that it was for me. After my mom passed away last year, my reason for scrapbooking has changed. I still do it because I enjoy it, but I now create more so my kids have a picture and written account of the events in their life. I also want them to know how much I love them and so scrapping and journaling is my way of recording my feelings about them. I want them to be able to look back on their scrapbooks and have record of their lives and know that I love them forever.

Where would your dream scrapbooking location be?

I would love, love, love to go scrap by the Mediterranean. I have seen pictures and heard stories that it is just gorgeous. I would love to just sit outside and just take in all the sights while I scrap.

What might we find you doing when you aren’t being a crafty diva?

Chasing my kids! A few like to run away regularly. That’s probably why I took up running. They are pretty fast and I have to catch them. :) Other than running, I love baking, hiking, and reading.

Roselyn Riley

I live in New Jersey with my husband of 8 years. I work in a university library, which keeps me surrounded by books and colorful characters. It is a great environment that keeps me inspired and creative.

Why Do You Scrapbook?
I started paper crafting around the time of my wedding, when I made my own invitations. After the wedding I started scrapbooking and it became a nice creative outlet, but I wasn’t really interested in the memories, just playing with pretty paper. Then a few years later, a close family friend passed away and the pages I did about him became a source of comfort and that is when it hit me. This is why I do it. We live on in our photos and stories.

Where would your dream scrapbooking location be?

My crafty dream, besides endless hours to create and a magically clean scraproom, would be to have a scrapbook studio in New York City overlooking Central Park with huge floor to ceiling windows to fill the room with tons of natural light. If I ever strike it rich, I’ll make that happen.

What might we find you doing when you aren’t being a crafty diva?

My other interests include writing (one day I will publish that novel!), reading (though not as much lately because I am writing said novel), watching soaps & TV dramas & ID channel (I am all about the angst), playing around with Photoshop and Sony Vegas, online shopping, and stalking YouTube & Twitter.
